FESTORA

Terms of Service

Last updated 22 September 2026 · Effective 22 September 2026

The short version

1. Who this agreement is with

Festora is operated by Noorul Huda Centre for Excellence, Madannoor Kavu, Puttur, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, India.

These terms apply whenever anyone uses festora.pro or any Festora account. "We" and "us" mean Festora. "You" means the madrasa, school or college holding the account, and everyone who uses it on your behalf.

If you are agreeing to these terms for an institution, you are confirming you are authorised to do so.

2. What Festora does

Festora helps you run an arts and literary festival: registering students, organising programmes and teams, scheduling, entering and publishing results, and producing chest cards, certificates, result posters and reports.

We add and improve features regularly. We may change how something works, and occasionally retire a feature that is not earning its keep. If a change removes something you rely on, we will tell account holders before it happens.

3. Accounts and access

Each institution gets one account, with logins for the administrators and team leaders it chooses. The number of users allowed is part of your plan.

You are responsible for who you give access to, and for what they do with it. Team leaders can add students and register them for programmes, so pick them carefully. Keep passwords and access codes to yourself — anyone holding them can see your students' records.

Tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised, and we will help you secure it.

4. The free trial

New institutions can try Festora free. The length of the trial and its limits on students, programmes and users are shown on our pricing page and applied to your account automatically.

The trial is the real product with smaller limits, not a demonstration. Please use it properly — enter real students, run a real programme, print a real chest card. It exists so you can find out whether Festora suits you before paying, and it is the reason a paid month is not refundable afterwards.

Some features are reserved for paid plans, including the public results page. Trials end automatically; nothing is charged and no card is required.

5. Plans and payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. The current plans and prices are always on our pricing page — we deliberately do not repeat them here, so that this page can never quietly contradict them.

Payment is by direct bank transfer or UPI, arranged with us over WhatsApp or email. Festora is not connected to any payment gateway, and no card or bank details are ever entered into the software.

Your paid features are enabled once payment reaches us. If a renewal is not paid, the account keeps working but drops back to trial-level limits and paid features switch off — including the public results page. Your data is not touched by this.

If we change our prices, your existing rate holds until the end of the month you have paid for, and we will tell you before the next one.

6. Your data, and who owns it

Everything you put into Festora — students, programmes, results, templates, your institution's logo — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.

We use it only to provide Festora to you: to run the software, to back it up, and to help you when you ask us to. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your students' records to train machine-learning models.

We may look at your data when you ask us to help with a specific problem, or if we have to investigate a fault or a security incident. Otherwise we leave it alone.

You can export everything as PDF, CSV or ZIP from the Downloads page, whenever you like, without asking us.

7. What you are responsible for

This section matters more than any other, because most of the personal information in Festora is about children.

8. Using Festora properly

Please do not: try to reach another institution's data; probe, attack or overload the service; resell or rebrand Festora as your own; upload anything unlawful, or any photograph you do not have permission to use; or use the software to harass anybody.

Festora is for running institutional festivals. It is not a general-purpose store for personal records, and it should not be used to hold information about children beyond what a fest actually needs.

9. What we promise, and what we do not

We will do our genuine best to keep Festora available, correct and quick, and to answer you when something goes wrong. We fix reported bugs as a priority, particularly during a live fest.

But we will be straight with you about the limits. Festora is provided as it is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, we depend on suppliers whose outages we cannot control, and software of any size contains mistakes. Please do not let fest day rest on Festora alone — print your schedules and export your results as they are published, as you would with any other system.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with Festora is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Stopping

You can stop at any time by telling us not to renew. Your account keeps working until the month you have paid for runs out. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.

We may suspend or close an account if it is used in the ways listed in section 8, or if payment stays outstanding for a long time. Except where something serious and immediate is happening, we will warn you first and give you a fair chance to put it right, and to export your data.

11. What happens to your data afterwards

When an account ends — whether you leave or we close it — your data stays available to export for 90 days. After that it is permanently deleted, students and photographs included, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You can ask us to delete everything sooner, and we will. Once deleted it cannot be recovered, so please export first.

12. Changes to these terms

We will update the date at the top whenever these terms change, and tell account holders by email before any material change takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using Festora before it applies.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Before anything formal, please just talk to us. Almost everything is a misunderstanding that one WhatsApp message will sort out, and we would much rather fix your problem than argue about it.
